Preparing for Your Consultation & Surgery
Surgical Solutions Network is a private surgery provider with multiple locations throughout Canada. Our team of fellowship-trained physicians uses the highest quality equipment and latest technology available for optimal safety and outcomes. Review the requirements and process for having surgery at one of our facilities.
Requirements
Patients must meet the following requirements to qualify for surgery at a Surgical Solutions Network facility:
Travel
To take advantage of the private health care options available in Canada, patients are required to travel out-of-province for most procedures.* Most will not be able to have surgery in their home province using Surgical Solutions Network’s private surgery centres.
*Cosmetic/plastic surgery, some ENT procedures, and vasectomy reversal do not require travel.
Diagnostics
You will need to provide diagnostics before your consultation with a physician. If you provide us with your diagnostic reports and images shortly after your call with one of our healthcare advisors, we can arrange your consultation with a physician within 1 to 2 weeks.
Payments
You will need to pay privately for your procedure and travel costs. Surgical Solutions Network offers financing options for those who need assistance covering the cost of treatment.
Before Your Consultation
After you request a consultation for surgery, a patient advisor from our team will reach out to you for more information and to understand your needs. Before they can schedule your consultation with a physician, we require you to provide copies of your medical records. We will send you a list of the necessary paperwork via email.
Overview of the Process
It’s quick and easy to set up your surgery at one of our locations; just follow these simple steps:
- Obtain the required medical documentation listed in our email correspondence to you.
- Forward your medical documentation to your patient advisor. They will then schedule your consultation with the physician.
- During your consultation, you can ask the physician any medical questions you may have regarding your procedure and determine if you would like to proceed with surgery.
- The patient advisor will contact you to schedule your surgery and address any last-minute questions. You will then receive a surgical confirmation email.
Directory of Diagnostic & Blood Testing Labs
To help simplify the process of collecting the necessary medical paperwork, Surgical Solutions Network has assembled a national directory of diagnostic and blood testing labs for our patients. Use the table to locate an appropriate facility. Note that this is not a complete list of available diagnostic services across Canada. For more information, please speak to your patient advisor.
