Dr. Nam is Professor of Surgery and the Ajmera Family Chair in Urologic Oncology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Nam completed his training at the University of Toronto and earned a Masters degree in Epidemiology studying the genetic aspects of prostate cancer. Dr. Nam conducts research in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer and has published over 150 peer-reviewed scientific papers in high impact medical journals such as, The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), Lancet Oncology, The British Medical Journal (BMJ), and the Journal of The National Cancer Institute (JNCI).

Dr. Nam’s clinical practice focuses on the surgical treatment of urologic cancers for over 20 years. Dr. Nam also focuses on the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and is Canada’s leader in providing the Rezum treatment. Dr. Nam is recognized internationally for his clinical and research excellence. He has given lectures world-wide including the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia for his expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.

His clinical practice is in mid-town Toronto at a large teaching hospital.
