Dr Bray is the Medical Director of Canadian Surgery Solutions in Calgary.

Dr Bray is an Emeritus Professor of Surgery in the Cumming school of medicine at the University of Calgary, where he conducted basic research into ligament healing for 25 years.

Dr Bray is a subspecialty Soft Tissue Knee Surgeon exclusively using minimally invasive Surgical techniques and procedures. He has over 30 years of experience and maintains a busy Private Practice at Canadian Surgery Solutions.

Current Appointments:

  • Emeritus professor of surgery, Cumming school of medicine, University of Calgary, 2020 to present.
  • Medical Director, Canadian surgery solutions Calgary, Clearpoint Health Network, 2017 – present.

  • Orthopedic surgery residency, University of Calgary, 1980 – 1984.
  • McLaughlin Fellowship FRCS Canada sponsored Minimally invasive endoscopic soft tissue knee reconstruction Surgery, Cambridge, UK, 1985 – 1987, London Ontario 1987 – 1988.
  • Knee biomechanics fellowship/MSc faculty of engineering university of Calgary, 1988 – 1991.

Career Highlights:

  • President, Canadian Orthopaedic Association Research Society, 1993 -1985.
  • Research publications; 120 Peer reviewed papers, 205 peer reviewed abstracts, 300+ Local, National, and international presentations, 1988 – present day.
  • Cofounder of health resource Center in Calgary, 1997, first facility to offer total spectrum orthopedic surgery, including arthroplasty and joint replacement Surgery in Canada with Extended Stay Accreditation.
  • Establishment of three medical device development companies related to orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, and diabetic foot ulcer prevention, 1996 -present.

  • Orthopaedic Knee trauma, Osteoarthritis and Biologic approaches to knee restoration.
