Dr. Neil B. Orzech

Bariatric Surgeon

Dr. Neil Orzech is a licensed ASMBS bariatric surgeon with extensive experience performing weight loss surgery in both Canada and the United States. He has a passion for patient care and is extremely dedicated to the success of his patients.

Dr. Orzech completed his medical doctorate at the University of Ottawa. Thereafter, he did his residency in General Surgery at the University of Toronto. During his residency, Dr. Orzech concurrently completed a master’s degree in Surgical Education utilizing virtual reality to teach recent medical graduates how to perform laparoscopic surgery. Thereafter, Dr. Orzech completed an Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, USA where he performed both primary and advanced revisional bariatric surgery. Since returning to Toronto, Dr. Orzech has completed thousands of bariatric procedures and has been with SmartShape since its inception.

Dr. Orzech is also on staff at the Scarborough General Hospital as a General Surgeon performing advanced laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Orzech also has extensive experience performing endoscopic procedures as part of his practice. Dr. Orzech is personable, dedicated, and passionate towards providing the highest quality of care to his patients and their families.
