Dr. Jason Forbes

Dr. Jason Forbes, a well-established general surgeon, combines extensive medical expertise with a compassionate approach to patient care. With over a decade of experience, he has honed his skills in a range of surgical procedures. He completed his medical training at the University of Ottawa (MD) and his surgical residency at the University of British Columbia. During his residency he also completed a master’s degree in health sciences (MHSc).

Since completing his surgical training, he has gone on to hold positions at UBC as a clinical instructor and at Fraser Health where he works full time as a General Surgeon at Peace Arch Hospital. Driven by a commitment to patient care and safety, he has taken on the role of surgeon champion previously for the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP).

His patients appreciate not only their surgical care but also his empathetic communication style and easy demeanor, fostering a sense of trust and comfort. Dr. Forbes’ dedication to excellence has positioned him as a respected name in the field of general surgery.
