Dr. Jimmy Nguyen

Dr. Jimmy Nguyen obtained his medical degree at the University of Sherbrooke in 2007 and completed his fellowship training in Upper Extremity Surgery in Halifax (Dalhouse University) in 2016-2017. He has been working at Charles-LeMoyne hospital since and has been involved in many projects and committee to improve patients care, locally as well as in governmental committees.

He is renowned for his natural ease in arthroscopic and open surgery. He has his favorite surgeries, which includes Shoulder Arthroplasty, Rotator Cuff Disease, Shoulder Instability and Basal Thumb Arthritis. He has been the 1st surgeon to perform a Total Shoulder Replacement at the Dix30 Surgical Center.

Patients often compliment his comprehensive and exhaustive approach, answering each and every question and taking his time to explain the pathology and the upcoming surgery.

Dr. Nguyen is also an affiliate clinical professor and head of the medical teaching unit in Montérégie, affiliated with the Université de Sherbrooke. He is also part of the CMSE team – Center for Sports and Exercise Medicine, and an examiner at the Royal College of Canada in Orthopedics, to certify new surgeons.

He is at the cutting edge of medical technology and participates in technological innovation projects applied to health.
