Dr. James Reuben Moore

Dr Moore is the Head of Orthopedic Surgery at Notre-Dame Hospital. With an early background in occupational therapy, Dr. Moore brings a uniquely holistic perspective to patient rehabilitation and surgical care.

After completing his medical studies and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Montreal, he pursued a highly specialized lower extremity fellowship in Sydney, Australia. There, he advanced his expertise in foot and ankle surgery, as well as robotic-assisted hip and knee arthroplasty.

Dr Moore performs surgeries at Notre Dame Hospital, Dix30 Surgical Center, as well as Westmount Square Surgical Center (private). A dedicated member of the Notre-Dame Hospital team since 2018, and department head since 2023, Dr Moore maintains a diverse general orthopedic practice designed to restore patient mobility. His clinical expertise includes:

• Joint Replacement: High-volume hip and partial/full knee replacements, including robotic-assisted knee arthroplasty with personalized kinematic alignment.
• Knee Surgery: Arthroscopic interventions, including comprehensive ACL and meniscus repairs.
• Shoulder Surgery: Total shoulder replacements and advanced arthroscopy (acromioplasty, rotator cuff repairs).
