Dr. Eldridge Batuyong

Dr. Batuyong received his medical degree at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University in 2006. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Calgary in 2011. He then travelled to Melbourne, Australia where he completed a one-year fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the Victorian Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Clinic at Epworth Healthcare. In 2012, he travelled to California where he then completed a one-year fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Total Joint Reconstruction at Stanford University.

Dr. Batuyong has been practicing as a full time academic orthopaedic surgeon at South Health Campus since 2013. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Calgary and is an associate member of the McCaig Institute for Bone and Joint Health. His orthopaedic practice is heavily focused on primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty surgery.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Batuyong has been serving as the orthopaedic site lead at South Health Campus since 2018. He also contributes significantly to medical education by lecturing medical students on a regular basis and is a preceptor for the University of Calgary orthopaedic residency program as well as the University of Calgary Hip and Knee Adult Reconstruction fellowship.
