Dr. Jeremy LaMothe

Dr. LaMothe completed his MD/PhD (biomedical engineering) at the University of Calgary and then went on to complete his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency also at the University of Calgary (2007). Following this, he went to New York City where he completed a Fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery and Complex Foot & Ankle Reconstructive Surgery, both at the Hospital for Special Surgery (2012-2014).

Dr. LaMothe returned to Calgary in 2014 and has been working as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Peter Lougheed Hospital and has been faculty at the Cuming School of Medicine. Dr. LaMothe holds many research, administrative and educational roles in which he is highly involved in the education of medical students, surgical residents, and surgical fellows.

Dr. LaMothe’s practice focuses on orthopaedic trauma surgery and foot & ankle reconstructive surgery.

Dr. LaMothe has subspecialty expertise in the surgical treatment of foot & ankle traumatic and degenerative conditions including deformity correction, ligament/tendon reconstructions, foot/ankle fusions and complex ankle joint replacements.
