Dr. Fred Loiselle

Dr. Loiselle received his medical degree at the University of Calgary in 2006 and completed his residency in plastic surgery at the University of Calgary in 2012. Following residency, he pursued subspecialty training in hand, wrist and microsurgery. He completed his fellowship training at the University of British Columbia in 2013.
Dr. Loiselle is a clinical lecturer at the University of Calgary and has been in practice since 2013. He is an attending plastic surgeon at the South Health Campus and has served as Site Chief for plastic surgery at the University of Calgary from 2015 to 2018.
Dr. Loiselle is an active member of many provincial and national surgical societies where he is an invited speaker and educator. Dr. Loiselle is passionate about advancing his field and is a published author in international journals. He has a keen interest in restoring and optimizing hand and wrist functions using modern techniques including endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery and arthroscopic assisted procedures.
Dr. Loiselle is an experienced hand and wrist surgeon whose practice spans all bone and soft tissue issues including trigger finger, Dupuytren’s disease, nerve issues, ligament tears, arthritis, malunions and fractures.
Dr. Loiselle also provides breast and body cosmetic procedures including breast reduction, top surgeries, breast augmentation and breast lift. He is the highest volume provider for transgender top surgery in Calgary.
Dr. Loiselle has a busy public practice in Calgary but also works with Clearpoint Health Network and is able to use his skill set to help people from all over Canada.
When not working, Dr. Loiselle can be found outside biking, climbing, fishing or sailing with his two kids and partner.
