Dr. Arko Demianczuk
Dr. Arko Demianczuk is a fully qualified medical practitioner licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons in the province of British Columbia since 2003. He attended the University of Winnipeg, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1993 and a Doctorate of Medicine Degree at Queen’s University in 1997. He completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of British Columbia from 1997 to 2002. He received his Fellowship in the specialty of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2002. He subsequently went on to sub-specialize in Plastic Surgery in Hand and Wrist Surgery / Micro-vascular Surgery at Harvard University and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston from 2002 until 2003.
Dr. Demianczuk’s current clinical practice involves primarily cosmetic plastic surgery. He is a member of the active staff at Vancouver General Hospital and Health Sciences Centre, St. Paul’s Hospital, as well as Mount St. Joseph and UBC Hospitals. From 2002 until 2022, his area of expertise included Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with a focus on head and neck reconstruction at Vancouver General Hospital, hand and wrist surgery, and reconstruction of acquired and traumatic defects at St. Paul’s Hospital.
Dr. Demianczuk is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. He was Director of Undergraduate Education for UBC Plastic Surgery from 2003 to 2018, Director of the Postgraduate Resident Cosmetic Clinic from 2008 to 2020. He also served on the Post Graduate Residency Training Committee, responsible for the selection and education of Plastic Surgery residents at the University of British Columbia from 2003 to 2017.
